This 6-day intensive Masterclass provides actors with a rare opportunity to deeply explore the world-renowned Lee Strasberg Method™, studying directly within the authentic, direct lineage of Lee Strasberg's legendary technique with Rachel Bailit, who carries the legacy of this Method.

Expect to walk away from this Masterclass with a highly practical acting process rooted in Lee Strasberg's Method. Apply sensory tools, animal work and character exploration directly to monologues and scenes. Masterclass Breakdown

Days 1–3 Building Your Foundational Technique, Concentration & Senses What actors will achieve: You will train your senses and your instrument to respond with authenticity to imaginary circumstances, and you will establish a deep foundation of physical relaxation and mental focus.

Masterclass Introduction & Method History: Grasp the core philosophy and evolutionary lineage of Strasberg's legendary technique.
Relaxation & Sensory Exercise: Every session opens with Lee Strasberg's signature relaxation, pairing it with sensory exercises to heighten concentration and stretch the imagination.
Progressive Sensory Exercises: Master deep concentration through guided exercises to react with absolute physical and emotional truth, and expand emotional range.
Initial Textual Work: Apply concentration and sensory drills directly to monologue performances and scenes for a grounded performance.
Continuous Guidance: Daily group discussions, Q&A sessions, and personalized feedback.

Days 4–6 Character Truth, Emotional Depth & Scene Integration What actors will achieve: You will apply advanced sensory exercises and animal work directly to your scene work, building a personal connection to the character's inner life for truthful performances.

Advanced Space & Sensory Application: Build entire living environments completely from memory via Sense Memory (Place) to anchor yourself within a realistic setting.
Animal Work: You will deepen your character creation by studying and embodying animal traits and behaviors into your characters.
Character Exploration & Monologues: Using Method techniques, you will strengthen your personal connection to the character as well as explore the character's emotional life and given circumstances.
Scene Work & Sensory Application: You will apply Strasberg's Method directly to partner scenes, creating personal connection with the character.

Meet Your Instructor: Rachel Bailit

Trained in the authentic Lee Strasberg technique and a 20-year faculty member at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, Rachel Bailit carries forward the direct lineage of Lee Strasberg’s work. Her teaching brings the precise, foundational tools of The Method™ directly from the Institute to the classroom.

International MasterclassesWith David Strasberg, Lee Strasberg's son, they taught classes together in Boston (2017) and in Mallorca, Spain (2023). And at the Shanghai Theatre Academy, she introduced Method Acting at its 2018 International Forum and returned in 2025 to teach a Strasberg Masterclass. Now presented by SKOUN, she is bringing the masterclass to Hamburg.

Do I need to be an experienced actor?

No. The masterclass is open to actors and performing artists of all experience levels who are committed to sharpening their technique and elevating their craft.

What language is the masterclass taught in?

English. Participants should have good English communication skills.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes. Payment in 3 monthly installments is available. Simply complete the registration form and select the installment option. A one-time installment fee of €40 applies. You'll find all further details there.

How many seats are there?

Each of the two groups is limited to 16 actors. The Early Bird rate is sold out. The current rate is Advance Tuition at €710, limited to 10 seats and valid until Oct 15, 2026. The regular rate is €790.
